Check Out Glaciers, Lakes, and Streams

In Skagway, visitors can actually see Harding Glacier from town, and those willing to get a little more adventurous can book one of the numerous tours that allow people to visit it and other glaciers in the area up close. Tour options include taking a helicopter to go on a glacier trek, or riding the train to embark on a hike through mountains and up a valley to visit either the Laughton or Denver glaciers.

In addition to the glaciers, there are many ways to experience the beautiful waters of Skagway. Take a motorized raft to explore Lynn Canal, the deepest and longest fjord in North America, or partake in one of the many adventure tours in town to kayak or raft the beautiful lakes and streams in the area.

For something more relaxing, walk up to Lower Reid Falls past the Gold Rush Cemetery or to Lower Dewey Lake and relax by the water.
